Real Madrid's winger Issues Sincere Sorry to Real Madrid Devotees
Vinicius Jr has registered five strikes in ten Spanish league matches during the current campaign.
Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has apologised to fans for his conduct when substituted in Sunday's intense El Clasico victory.
Vinicius was substituted in the 72nd min and displayed his frustration by walking immediately to the dressing room.
The Brazilian later returned to the sidelines and, following his club's 2-1 victory, sought to engage the opposition's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury final whistle incidents.
"Today I want to say sorry to all the supporters for my response when I was taken off in the derby," he wrote on X.
"Just as I have already done during today's training, I wish to apologise again to my colleagues, the club, and the club president.
"Occasionally emotion overcomes me because I continuously aim to win and assist my club. My competitive character stems from the love I have for this team and all it symbolizes."
He moved to the Spanish capital from Flamengo in recent years for millions and has scored 111 goals in more than 300 games.
But his prospects in the Spanish capital is unclear with reports in the past few months suggesting that the club would consider letting the player leave if they obtained a suitable offer.
When he was taken off on Sunday, cameras from broadcaster the service picked him up stating: "Always me! I'm exiting the club! It's preferable if I depart, I'm going."
In his new statement on X, Vinicius commented: "I promise to keep fighting at all times for the welfare of the club, as I have performed since the first day."
